Not bad, percentage-wise.
Intentions for 2009:
- 365 Photo Project (w/ group)- more on that later
- Finish Solace. Research and draft The Auctioneer and round 500 of Melanthe.
- Knit more.
- Grow more food.
- Have baby, which is certain to complicate everything else on the list, and yet is the thing I’m looking forward to most.
Now, that's a ratio to be proud of! it really is with everything going on and the new baby on the way :)
Congratulations again, btw, wonderful event :)
Thank you :) It's my best year yet... I neglected to include the "stories stuck in editorial limbo due to publisher/editor difficulties" stats, because they make me feel like a jinx or something- we need a word for that post-accepted, pre-contract state...
Sometimes authors seem to call these 'on hold,' which seems like a nice, limbo sort of name. Hopefully they end up as more yesses for you :)
That's the thing- the stories were accepted, and then the issue/antho were delayed because of publisher's problems. (My husband started teasing me about being a kiss of death- it actually happened to three stories in a row. Yeep.) I usually think of "on hold" as "under consideration." Which I suppose still fits. Not that it matters, really; I can't count them as sales until they're actually released. I kinda like the "Limbo" designation, though, I'll keep that for now.
Cool ratio indeed. :p And best of luck with the baby.
